HERE’S A SHORT FILM, based on my poem Rhododendron Gardens, Howth, made during the lockdown travel restrictions of recent weeks.
The poem itself is a couple of years old, and about the experience of return visits to a familiar location. I suppose for obvious reasons it seemed to take on additional significance in the present climate.
If nothing else, though, the film is a glimpse of one of the most beautiful places in this part of the city, if not the entire country, and at the time of year when it most fully comes into its own.
